Enjoy one of the oldest sea regattas in the North of England, as the Whitby Regatta will entertain crowds on the water and in and around the town.
Saturday We depart and visit Thirsk, the cobbled Yorkshire market town and home of renowned vet James Herriot. The epitome of a rural market town, its medieval cobbled market square, has an enduring charm that still enchants visitors today. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Middlesbrough and the Jurys Inn Middlesbrough. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Sunday Following a leisurely breakfast, we travel through the picturesque and tranquil North York Moors National Park to Whitby for the annual regatta. Started in the early 1800’s, it is one of the oldest sea regattas in England and draws large crowds into the town. There is entertainment on the water and around town to enjoy. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
