Historic Shakespeare Country abounds with pretty market towns, all steeped in history and beautiful rolling English countryside.
Friday We depart and travel to Coventry. Steeped in myth and legend, Coventry offers a range of museums and galleries including a world famous cathedral and the largest publicly owned collection of British vehicles in the world. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Kenilworth and the Chesford Grange Hotel. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Saturday Today we include a visit to Kenilworth, a delightful town and home to the vast medieval fortress of Kenilworth Castle, one of England’s most spectacular castle ruins. We continue to Warwick, made famous for its magnificent castle. Our final visit of the day will be to Royal Leamington Spa a fashionable and elegant town with tree-lined avenues, squares and glorious gardens.
Sunday We depart after breakfast and enjoy a visit to Stratford upon Avon, a charming Tudor town built on the banks of the Avon River and best known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Later this afternoon we include a scenic cruise on the River Avon, one of the best ways to experience Shakespeare’s England. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
The Chesford Grange Hotel stands in 17 acres of idyllic grounds and woodland located on the River Avon. All bedrooms are with en-suite facilities, television, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a restaurant and two bars.
