Described as the ‘Loveliest castle in the world’, explore the magnificent Leeds Castle with visits to Rochester and historic Canterbury.
Friday We depart and travel to historic Rochester, with its Norman castle and historic cathedral. It was cherished by Charles Dickens, who lived in the area as a child and returned as a successful author. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Maidstone and the Hilton Maidstone. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Saturday Today we enjoy a visit to Herne Bay and Whitstable. For those in search of traditional seaside magic, you will find it in Herne Bay with two miles of seafront. Famous for its oysters, Whitstable is like no other town by the sea. We will continue to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. Steeped in history, the city offers a perfect blend of old and new within its enchanting cobbled streets.
Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via Leeds Castle. Rising majestically from the still waters of its moat, surrounded by 500 acres of parkland and gardens, Leeds Castle is without a doubt one of the most beautiful venues in Kent. Described as the ‘Loveliest Castle in the World’, it is the perfect place for a great day out. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
The Hilton Maidstone offers a peaceful and relaxing base from which to explore Leeds Castle and Canterbury.
