The Costa del Maresme is situated on the coastline of the Province of Barcelona. Its Mediterranean climate, crystal waters, superb blue flag beaches and pleasant promenade make it an ideal destination. The old town is situated around the church of Santa María, a Neoclassical building with a Baroque main front. With its old quarter, the resort of Calella has an authentic Spanish feel, yet still offers a full range of tourist facilities.

Tuesday Today we enjoy a visit to Barcelona. The capital of Catalonia, Barcelona is a cosmopolitan Mediterranean city that incorporates in its urban street pattern Roman remains, medieval districts and the most beautiful examples of modernism and 20century avant-garde art. Enjoy a stroll along the wide promenade Las Ramblas, explore the narrow alleys, boutique shops and tapas bars in the Barrio Gothic and don’t miss the eye-catching buildings designed by Spain’s most famous architect, Antoni Gaudi, including the Parc Guell and the magnificent Church of the Sagrada Familia. The Basilica Sagrada Familia is Barcelona’s most famous landmark and one of the city’s most impressive sights. The church is huge in its dimensions, which is why it is often referred to as a “cathedral”, without having a bishop’s seat.
Wednesday Enjoy a day visiting Sant Feliu de Guixols and Platja d’Aro. Located in the southernmost end of the region, on a small bay that opens up between the mountains of Sant Elm and the hills of El Molí de les Forques, Sant Feliu de Guíxols is known for its cork industry and seafaring tradition. Originally a small fishing village, Platja d’Aro is one of the picture postcard seaside towns
that you can find on the Costa Brava. The cosmopolitan resort is a popular weekend and shopping destination for the local Catalans. The main beach is a long stretch of beautiful sand and there are many further sandy coves and rocky areas to explore.
Thursday Today we enjoy a visit to Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar. Cliffs, pinewoods, coves and beaches make up the coastal profile of the county of La Selva, the setting for Tossa de Mar. The most southerly sector of the Costa Brava offers an incredible range of history, art and leisure on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. With a deep seaside tradition, Lloret de Mar it is one of the largest tourist centers on Gerona’s sea front. Beaches and coves with clear water combine with an interesting historic centre and a wide range of attraction. The town has over one thousand years of history and the Iberian settlements, mediaeval castles, chapels and gardens bear witness to the town’s origins.
