Friday We depart and travel to the Cathedral and University City of Worcester. The city’s compact centre combines quintessential English charm with modern convenience. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Cardiff and the Holiday Inn Cardiff North. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Saturday Today we include a guided tour of Cardiff and a river cruise. Discover Cardiff’s progress from a small settlement, to the world’s busiest port, to the modern capital city it is today. It is a city of contrasts, where 21st century architecture sits alongside the old grandeur of Cardiff Castle. Cardiff Bay is one of Europe’s most exciting waterfront development and the city ranks among the UK’s top shopping centres.
Sunday We depart after breakfast and enjoy a guided tour of the Royal Mint. For the first time in their 1000 year history the Royal Mint has opened a visitor centre that will allow you to go behind the scenes and see for yourself the people and the processes that put the pounds and pennies in your pocket. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
The Holiday Inn Cardiff North M4, Jct 32, is a modern hotel ideally located on the outskirts of Cardiff, a short drive from the Royal Mint. All bedrooms are en-suite with television, telephone, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a bar and restaurant. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool. Lift to all floors with steps to some bedrooms. Limited ground floor bedrooms.
