Lying on the River Thames in Royal Berkshire, Windsor is a picturesque riverside town that shows off England at its pristine best.
Saturday We depart and travel to Windsor for an included cruise. The view of the Castle from the river is undoubtedly the finest there is. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Maidenhead and the Holiday Inn Maidenhead. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Sunday We depart after breakfast and return to Windsor and enjoy time at leisure to explore the town with included entrance to the castle. The Royal Borough has a rich mix of history, culture, heritage to enjoy. Later this afternoon, make your way to Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest inhabited castles in the world. A Royal home and fortress for over 900 years, the Castle remains a working palace today. We depart and make our journey home.
The Holiday Inn Maidenhead is a modern hotel located in the heart of the Thames Valley, 6-miles from Windsor. All bedrooms are en-suite with television, telephone, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a lounge bar and restaurant. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium. Lift to all floors. Limited ground floor bedrooms.
Windsor Castle, St. Georges chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day.
