Friday We depart and travel to Ely, a city rich in history, charm and beauty. The City of Ely offers a wonderful blend of the historic and the modern and is dominated by one of England’s most beautiful cathedrals, which dominates the landscape for miles around. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Huntingdon and the Huntingdon Marriott. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Saturday Today we enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque Suffolk Villages, visiting Bury St. Edmunds, one of Britain’s best loved market towns, Lavenham, known as one of the best preserved medieval towns in the country and Sudbury, set in the heart of the Stour Valley and for centuries a centre for the weaving and silk industries.
Sunday We depart after breakfast and enjoy a visit to Cambridge, home of the famous University, King’s College and putting on the River Cam. The city is compact with the beauty of its ancient centre preserved within its walkable medieval streets. Admire the beautiful architecture and majestic college buildings. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
