Sunday We depart and travel to the picturesque market town of Helmsley. We arrive in the village of Rosedale Abbey later this afternoon and enjoy a welcome cup of tea and mince pie on arrival, before settling into our rooms. Meet the management team and fellow guests at the welcome drinks reception, before tonight’s delicious evening meal. This evening relax in front of the roaring log fire or enjoy seasonal fun and games in the bar.
Monday (Christmas Eve) After breakfast we will enjoy a visit to Whitby. Later this afternoon we head back into the moors and dales, making a stop for tea and cake in the famous village of Goathland, or “Aidensfield” in TV’s Heartbeat. We return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s evening meal and seasonal fun and games in the bar.
Tuesday (Christmas Day) After breakfast enjoy a day of relaxation and recuperation with the morning free to relax and open your Christmas presents. Enjoy a sherry and bucks fizz reception with canapes in the bar, before taking your seat for a sumptuous 5-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Enjoy the Queen’s speech and festive movie this afternoon or relax with a drink in the bar. Tonight’s evening meal will be followed by seasonal fun and games in the bar.
Wednesday (Boxing Day) After breakfast we will enjoy a visit to Scarborough. We return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s farewell evening meal and seasonal fun and games in the bar.
Thursday We check out and depart this morning after breakfast and visit York. We depart from York later this afternoon for our return journey home.
