Day 1. Monday We travel to Aberfoyle.
Day 2. Tuesday Today we enjoy a journey on-board the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway. The scenic 10-mile journey will travel along the Forth Estuary and over the Avon Viaduct. You will be able to soak up the atmosphere of the award-winning heritage railway through the sights, sounds and smells of yesteryear. Our final journey of the day will see us travelling along the Firth of Forth on-board a 90-minute cruise. The cruise will take in the spectacular views of the Three Bridges, the beautiful panoramas of the Edinburgh skyline to the south and the Kingdom of Fife to the north.
Day 3. Wednesday Enjoy a day travelling through the glorious Trossachs to the spectacular Falkirk Wheel, the world’s only rotating boat lift. During the journey, you will sail through the sky to join the Union Canal 35m above. After smoothly moving along the aqueduct and through the Roughcastle tunnel to the beginning of the Union Canal, you will then descend to the start point, returning you to the Visitor Centre. Later we continue to Loch Lomond for a relaxing 2-hour cruise. Whilst on-board you will discover the legends and secrets of the islands of the loch, as the cruise passes the world-famous Golf Club.
Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a day visiting Dundee. Situated on the Tay estuary, Dundee is Scotland’s sunniest and most dynamic city, and its revitalised waterfront is home to the V&A Museum of Design, the world's only V&A museum outside of London. A compact city, there is lots to see and do in Dundee. Later this afternoon, we will board the train at Dundee for an unforgettable journey, crossing Tay Bridge, before crossing the UNESCO World Heritage Forth Bridge and arriving in Edinburgh. We will be met by our coach in Edinburgh and return to Aberfoyle, for our final night at the Rob Roy Hotel.
