Itinerary

Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Norwich. Like any great city, its centre is easy to walk around and has a river at its heart. It is the only English city in a National Park, the Norfolk Broads. As well as being the most complete medieval city in the UK, it has superb independent and High Street shopping. It was also England's first UNESCO City of Literature. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to the outskirts of Norwich and the Mercure Norwich. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.

Day 2. Saturday Following breakfast, we enjoy a day visiting the picturesque North Norfolk coast and the bustling seaside town of Cromer. Perched on the very edge of the north Norfolk coast, Cromer is famous for its tasty crabs, wide open beaches, a traditional pier complete with a theatre providing seaside special variety shows and is awash with small local independent shops. As you would expect of a seaside town rich in its fishing heritage, it has a lighthouse and a proud tradition of RNLI service.

Day 3. Sunday Today we enjoy a scenic journey on the Bure Valley Railway and cruise on the Norfolk Broads. Norfolk’s longest fifteen-inch gauge line runs between the ancient market town of Aylsham and the bustling town of Wroxham. The nine-mile trip runs through the picturesque Bure Valley countryside following the meandering River Bure through meadowland and ancient pasture. On arrival in Wroxham, we will enjoy a cruise on the beautiful Norfolk Broads and explore Britain’s magical waterland with free time in Wroxham.

Day 4. Monday We depart after breakfast and travel home via Sandringham, the much-loved country retreat to Their Majesties The King Charles III and The Queen Consort. Close to King’s Lynn in the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the house, gardens, and St Mary Magdalene Church are all open to visit. Discover the fascinating history of the house and explore 24 hectares of formal gardens with a variety of trees, water gardens and wildflowers. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.

Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
