Day 1. Saturday 14th January 2023 We depart and travel to the Royal Leamington Spa. Wide boulevards, stunning architecture, and award-winning parks, provide a sophisticated backdrop to this Regency Town. Often described as ‘the best bits of London, all in a ten-minute walk’. Leamington town centre combines a treasure trove of independent stores, specialist boutiques, along with high street brands. Later this afternoon we make the short journey to the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon and the Stratford Manor Hotel. On arrival at the hotel, we will enjoy a leisurely cup of tea/coffee. The remainder of the afternoon will be free to relax with a drink in the bar. Later this evening enjoy a drinks reception followed by dinner and entertainment. As in previous years, passengers will be allocated a table in the function room and will be required to pre-order your evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday 15th January 2023 Following a leisurely breakfast, we depart the hotel and make our way to Stratford-upon-Avon. Famed for its ties to William Shakespeare and its romanticized Tudor architecture, Stratford-upon-Avon is a market town packed with history and heritage. Of all the things to do in Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace is the star attraction. The renowned poet and playwright lived in the town, and you can walk in his footsteps at his childhood residence. You can browse independent shops and boutiques in the centre of the town and sample its eclectic foodie scene while discovering more of the town that produced the world’s most famous playwright. We depart later this afternoon and return to your original joining point.
Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
