Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew. Now a World Heritage Site, Kew is home to the world’s largest and most diverse collection of living plants. Kew Gardens’ annual Orchid Festival will celebrate the rich and colourful culture of orchids. You will become immersed in a celebration of vibrant colours, culture, and magnificent plant life inside the tropical paradise of Kew Gardens’ Princess of Wales Conservatory. Each year, Kew brings a new theme to this magnificent festival. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Shepperton and the Holiday Inn London Shepperton. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel to Hampton Court Palace & Gardens. Experience the public dramas and private lives of Henry VIII, his wives, and children in the world of the Tudor court. Admire Henry’s Great Hall, designed to impress and to proclaim Henry VIII’s power and magnificence and the Tudor kitchens were 200 cooks, sergeants, grooms, and pages worked to produce over 800 meals a day for the hungry household. Discover the spectacular baroque palace built for William III and Mary II and explore 60 acres of magnificent formal gardens and 750 acres of historic parkland. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
