Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to the university city of Cambridge. Packed full of stunning architecture and nature, Cambridge is a beautiful university town renowned for its impact on history. The tightly packed city centre is perfect for exploring ancient colleges, cobbled streets and the picturesque “Backs” alongside the River Cam. A city that celebrates quintessential England with pioneering scientific research. With famous graduates such as Isaac Newton, and Charles Darwin. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Milton Keynes and the Delta Hotel by Marriott Milton Keynes. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday Following breakfast, we depart and travel to Thriplow Village for the annual Daffodil Festival. Here you will step back in time, walking in the beautiful traffic free lanes and connecting footpaths visiting residents ‘open gardens’, craft barns, marquees, stalls, and demonstrations. Check out the blacksmiths at work in the Smithy and be entertained by the merry Morris dancers. Then recharge at a Taste of Thriplow for street food and beer or enjoy hot drinks and homemade cake at the Village Tearooms. With live music being played all around the village it’s the perfect place to get some springtime cheer. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
