Falmouth is Cornwall’s leading south coast resort and home to the county’s maritime heritage and is the perfect destination to relax and discover the charms of Cornwall. Based around a thriving harbour Falmouth is the gateway to the beautiful Fal River which runs through an Area Of Natural Beauty.

Itinerary

Day 1. Sunday We travel to Falmouth.

Day 2. Monday Today we enjoy a visit to St Ives. One of Cornwall's most popular resorts, St. Ives offers a cosmopolitan mix of award-winning beaches, art galleries, craft shops and beautiful scenery. With its granite cottages, cobbled streets and tangle of lanes and alleyways, St. Ives still has plenty of historical charm. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Tate St Ives showcases work by artists, whose captivating works have brought international attention to St Ives and West Cornwall. Alongside displays from the Tate collection, the gallery presents modern and contemporary art from around the world through a dynamic exhibitions programme.

Day 3. Tuesday Following breakfast, we enjoy an excursion to Truro, the UK’s most Southerly city. Cornwall’s one and only city radiates a chic, urban charm that’s reflected in endless shopping opportunities and some of the best restaurants and bars in the county. Centre stage is Truro Cathedral situated right at the heart of Truro. Its three spires and amazing architecture dominate the city skyline, making it one of the most iconic buildings in Cornwall, with over 200,000 visitors a year. Designed by John Loughborough Pearson, it has stunning architecture and some of the best examples of stained glass windows anywhere in the country.

Day 4. Wednesday Today we enjoy a visit to Penzance. Penzance is both historic port and busy commercial centre on the south facing shores of Mount’s Bay and has one of the mildest climates in the UK. For a quintessential Cornish moment, grab some fish and chips, take a walk along the promenade, and enjoy the spectacular views out across Mount’s Bay. We also enjoy a visit to Land’s End the legendary Cornish destination that has inspired people since ancient Greek times, when it was referred to as ‘Belerion’ – Place of the Sun. It is one of Britain’s best loved landmarks, famous for its unique location and beautiful scenery.
