Day 1. Monday We travel to Llanberis.
Day 2. Tuesday Today we enjoy a visit to Llandudno. Llandudno is one of the largest and most popular of the Welsh seaside resorts, and still retains much of its Victorian character and charm. The golden sandy beach at North Shore is set in the magnificent crescent shaped bay, flanked by Great Ormes Head and Little Orme, with Llandudno and its elegant promenade lying protected between the headlands. We also include a short visit to the Isle of Anglesey.
Day 3. Wednesday Enjoy a day travelling through the Snowdonia National Park visiting the village of Betws-y-Coed and the charming town of Conwy. Situated at the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Betws-y-Coed is a delightful village, home to many independent shops, whilst there is much to enjoy in Conwy, including its impressive castle. Later this afternoon we continue to the ancient Royal town of Caernarfon, dominated by King Edward I’s impressive medieval fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the castle is on the banks of the River Seiont.
Day 4. Thursday Enjoy a morning visiting Porthmadog, a harbour town situated on the Glaslyn Estuary. Rich in maritime history, Porthmadog was a vital, busy shipping port for the international slate trade, brought down from Blaenau Ffestiniog. Today it is a busy town with a good range of attractions and shops. We will return to Llanberis later this afternoon with free time to explore the village, home to Padarn Country Park and the National Slate Museum.
Day 5. Friday We depart after breakfast and return home.
