Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Waddesdon Manor, a French Renaissance-style château, set in the heart of Buckinghamshire. Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild built the Manor in the 1870s to entertain his guests and display his collection of art treasures. It houses one of the finest collections of French 18th century decorative arts and British portraiture. Set in 5,000 acres of rolling parkland, Waddesdon has one of the finest examples of a late Victorian garden in Britain. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to High Wycombe and the Holiday Inn high Wycombe. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Day 2. Saturday Today we enjoy an excursion to RHS Chelsea Flower Show with entrance included. Every year, world-renowned garden designers, plant specialists, florists and nurseries come together in one of London's most charming and affluent neighbourhoods to show off cutting-edge garden designs and inspirational floral exhibits. You will be able to stroll through show-stopping gardens designed by famous designers, learn about rare flowers and plants, or revel in creative floral artworks throughout the week. You can also spot emerging gardening trends as you browse the horticultural products on sale, from gardening gadgets to sculptures and plants.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via Blenheim Palace. Home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and his family and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site boasting a long and diverse history. A masterpiece of Baroque architecture, landscaped parkland and stunning formal gardens, Blenheim Palace provides an awe-inspiring experience. Enjoy acres of ‘Capability Brown’ landscaped parkland, with inspiring views, monuments, and wildlife. Relax in the beautiful Formal Gardens, including the Water Terraces, Rose Garden and Churchill Memorial Garden. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
