Day 1. Monday We travel to Aberfoyle.
Day 2. Tuesday Enjoy a day travelling through the glorious Trossachs, as we head to Loch Katrine for an included cruise. The 45-minute cruise departs from Trossachs Pier and takes you on an awe-inspiring journey, as you glide past stunning Trossachs landmarks. We continue to Scotland’s oldest distillery, Glenturret. Situated on the banks of the River Turret in the beautiful town of Crieff. The tour will take you through the traditional art of making The Glenturret Single Malt Whisky, using hand operated, time-honoured methods. The tour brings to life the history of the distillery and finishes off with a dram from the distillery's core whisky range, showcasing its distinctive fruity spirit style amidst the ever-evolving canvas of its maturing wood characters.
Day 3. Wednesday Enjoy a morning at leisure, before enjoying lunch at the hotel. We depart the hotel later this afternoon and travel to Edinburgh for time at leisure. With an abundance of history, top quality attractions and beautiful architecture, Edinburgh is an incredible capital city. Later this evening the coach will transfer you to Edinburgh Castle for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Set against the backdrop of Edinburgh’s imposing castle, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is one of the most iconic events in Edinburgh's calendar and celebrates the skills and talents of military bands and display teams from throughout the world.
Important Information: Some passengers may find the walk to the castle difficult. There is a steeply inclined walk up Castlehill, the old, cobbled approach to the Esplanade. There is then a further 60-metre walk, followed by steps up to the spectator stands where the seating is steeply tiered.
The day the Edinburgh Tattoo is included is subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
Day 4. Thursday Today we enjoy a cruise on Loch Lomond. Discover the legends and secrets of the islands of Loch Lomond, known as the jewels in her crown. This leisurely 2 hour circular cruise passes the world famous Loch Lomond Golf Club, explores the middle island of Loch Lomond sailing through an area know to locals as "The Narrows" and onwards to the village of Luss. Loch Lomond is the largest expanse of freshwater in the United Kingdom, it takes its name from the mountain Ben Lomond, Scotland’s most southerly mountain. We also will enjoy some free time at Lomond Shores, home to shops, restaurants, and the Sea Life Aquarium.
Day 5. Friday We depart after breakfast and return home.
