Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Edinburgh. On arrival at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Edinburgh the remainder of the day will be free for you to explore. There are plenty of exciting things to do in Edinburgh, from stunning architecture and endless winding streets to an awe-inspiring castle perched on a dormant volcano. By day you can admire stunning artworks in galleries and treasured wonders in museums, and by night you can enjoy tours, theatre performances, or find your favourite dram in a charming whisky pub. It's no wonder that Edinburgh remains a firm favourite with Wilfreda Beehive. Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2. Saturday Today we include our first visit to Edinburgh. Based in the Old Town and within a World Heritage site, the Royal Mile is culturally and historically important to the city and jam packed with things to see and do. A ‘Scots mile’ long, and connecting two royal residences (the Castle and the palace of Holyrood House), it is also home to parliaments old and new, law courts, a cathedral and churches, and a vast range of visitor attractions, walking tours, shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. In the afternoon the coach will return from Edinburgh to the hotel at 16:00. This evening, we offer a coach shuttle to Edinburgh leaving the hotel at 18:00 and returning at 23:00. Hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and make our final visit to Edinburgh. There will be free time to take in the medieval atmosphere of the Royal Mile, to explore Princes Street – a true paradise for shopaholics. There aren’t many cities in the world where the foremost shopping thoroughfare boasts an uninterrupted view of an ancient castle, but Edinburgh’s Princes Street does just that! Its uniqueness is that shops line only one side of the street, leaving the opposite side a lush and verdant green space giving shoppers spectacular breathtaking views of the Old Town cityscape. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
