Day 1. Monday We travel to Chatham.
Day 2. Tuesday Following breakfast, we include a visit to Ramsgate and Broadstairs. Ramsgate is home to the only Royal Harbour in the UK – given this status by King George IV because he was so impressed with the hospitality he received in the town, and the same is still true today. You can soak up the cosmopolitan atmosphere in one of the many waterfront bars, cafes and restaurants and enjoy the beautiful architecture and views across the marina. Whilst in Broadstairs you will find fishermen’s cottages, clifftop walks and independent shops lining original Victorian streets and alleyways.
Day 3. Wednesday Today we enjoy a visit to Herne Bay and Whitstable. For those in search of traditional seaside magic, you will find it in Herne Bay, a friendly seaside town, with two miles of seafront. Known for its historic pier and picturesque seafront, Herne Bay offers plenty of things to do all year round. The seaside town of Whitstable is famous for its oysters and shingle beaches. This charming port has been dubbed the Pearl of Kent and is brimming with seafood restaurants, picturesque lanes, artisanal bakeries, boutique shops, and art galleries.
Day 4. Thursday Today we head inland and enjoy a visit to the historic cathedral city of Canterbury. Once one of medieval Europe’s great places of pilgrimages, explore the cobbled streets and hidden gems of this world-famous cathedral city. At the heart of the walled city is the iconic cathedral, parts of which date back to the 11th century. The stunning structure welcomes visitors all year round, who come to gaze at the remarkable architecture. Take in the historic sights, shop at a huge mix of independent and high street retailers, and relax in restaurants, breweries and cosy cafés.
Day 5. Friday We depart and return home.
