The Birmingham International Tattoo is recognised as one of the leading events of its type in Europe, attracting world famous military bands and takes place at the Resorts World Arena at the NEC. There is also free time in Birmingham, once home to the industrial revolution.

Itinerary

Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Stratford-upon-Avon. This charming Tudor town built on the banks of the Avon River is best known as the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Famed for its ties to William Shakespeare and its romanticized Tudor architecture, Stratford-upon-Avon is a market town packed with history and heritage. Shakespeare's Birthplace allows you to visit the house where the world’s most famous playwright was born and grew up to discover more about his early years. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Kenilworth and the Chesford Grange Hotel. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.

Day 2. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel to Resorts World at the NEC with free time to explore the shops, before we take our seats for the Birmingham International Tattoo. Britain’s biggest indoor military tattoo, with over 1,000 performers, brings together marching bands, exciting displays and culminating in the spectacular Grand Finale featuring all the performers. Whether you prefer the Massed Marching Bands, the Exciting Displays, or the splendour of the spectacular Grand Finale there is something for everyone at the Birmingham International Tattoo. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home. The arena bowl opens at 12:30. The show starts at 14:00 and finishes at 17:15. Chesford Grange Hotel

The Chesford Grange Hotel stands in 17 acres of idyllic grounds and woodland located on the River Avon and combines historic character with modern chic, a short drive from Stratford upon Avon. All bedrooms are en-suite with television, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a lounge bar and restaurant. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, steam room and gym. Lift to all floors in the modern extension. Limited ground floor bedrooms.
