Itinerary

Day 1. We travel to the Isle of Wight.

Day 2. Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Sandown.

Day 3. Today, we set off on a scenic tour of the Isle of Wight, a gem nestled just off England’s South coast. Despite its compact size – measuring just 23 miles by 13 miles – the island is bursting with charm, from its quaint villages and bustling towns to its rich historical treasures. With award-winning beaches, untouched natural beauty, and dramatic landscapes, the Isle of Wight offers a breathtaking backdrop for adventure. Whether you're strolling along its pristine coastline, exploring centuries-old landmarks, or indulging in outdoor activities, there’s something for everyone, making it the perfect destination for visitors of all ages to discover, explore, and enjoy.

Day 4. After breakfast, we embark on a nostalgic journey aboard the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, where time seems to stand still. Step back into a bygone era, as the rhythmic chug of the steam engine transports you to a time when rail travel was a grand adventure. As you glide through the picturesque countryside, the sights and sounds of the past will captivate your imagination – charming stations, historic carriages, and stunning landscapes unfold at every turn. This enchanting ride is more than just a trip; it's a chance to relive a piece of history and create lasting memories along the way. We also include a visit to Ryde, the islands largest town.

Day 5. After breakfast, we’ll set off on an unforgettable excursion to Osborne House, the beloved former royal retreat of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Steeped in history, this grand residence offers a rare and intimate glimpse into the private lives of the royal family, where they spent their summers in seclusion, surrounded by lush gardens and stunning views. Explore the opulent rooms where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert raised their nine children and discover the rich personal stories that shaped their family life. Osborne House is not just a glimpse into royal history, but a step into the heart of a family that defined an era.

Day 6. Enjoy a day at leisure to explore to Sandown.

Day 7. We depart and return home.

Trouville Hotel

Situated centrally on Sandown’s seafront, the Trouville Hotel enjoys panoramic views over the sweep of Sandown and Shanklin Bay. All double and twin rooms enjoy a sea view, single rooms are non-sea view. All rooms are en-suite with television, telephone, hair dryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a restaurant, lounge bar and ballroom. Lift to all floors with steps to some bedrooms. Free WIFI available throughout the hotel.
