Christmas at the White Horse Farm Inn

Day 1. We depart and travel to the picturesque market town of Helmsley. We arrive in the village of Rosedale Abbey later this afternoon and enjoy a welcome cup of tea and mince pie on arrival, before settling into our rooms. Meet the management team and fellow guests at the welcome drink’s reception, before tonight’s delicious evening meal. This evening relax in front of the roaring log fire or enjoy seasonal fun and games in the bar.

Day 2. (Christmas Eve) After breakfast we will enjoy a visit to Whitby. Later this afternoon we head back into the moors and dales, making a stop at the famous village of Goathland, or ‘Aidensfield’ in TV’s Heartbeat. We return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s evening meal and seasonal fun and games in the bar.

Day 3. (Christmas Day) After breakfast enjoy a day of relaxation and recuperation with the morning free to relax and open your Christmas presents. Enjoy a sherry and bucks fizz reception with canapes in the bar, before taking your seat for a sumptuous Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Enjoy the Queen’s speech and festive movie this afternoon or relax with a drink in the bar. Tonight’s evening meal will be followed by seasonal fun and games in the bar.

Day 4. (Boxing Day) After breakfast we will enjoy a visit to Scarborough. We return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s farewell evening meal and seasonal fun and games in the bar.

Day 5. We check out and depart this morning after breakfast and visit York. We depart from York later this afternoon for our return journey home.

Situated on a hillside offering spectacular views over the lovely village of Rosedale Abbey and the valley beyond, this 16^th Century Inn offers a warm welcome. With a roaring log fire in the bar, comfortable bedrooms with modern facilities, unpretentious home-made and locally sourced food in the restaurant, we aim to offer a personal and friendly service to all. All bedrooms are en-suite and have tea/coffee making facilities, TV and hair dryer. All bedrooms are located on the first floor, up one flight of stairs with most offering fabulous views over the National Park.

Please note: There is no lift in the hotel, so there is a flight of stairs to access bedrooms. There are also steps up from the car park to access the main entrance. This accommodation therefore is not recommended for the mobility impaired.
