New Year at the White Horse Farm Inn

Day 1. We depart and travel to York. Stroll through the medieval cobbled lanes and immerse yourself in the deep history that permeates every corner of York. We arrive in the village of Rosedale Abbey later this afternoon and enjoy a welcome cup of tea and mince pie on arrival, before settling into our rooms. Meet the management team and fellow guests at the welcome drink’s reception, before tonight’s delicious evening meal. This evening relax in front of the roaring log fire or enjoy seasonal fun and games in the bar.

Day 2. (New Year’s Eve) After breakfast we will enjoy a visit to Whitby. With its rich history, breathtaking scenery, and captivating atmosphere, Whitby is a must-visit destination for travellers seeking a perfect blend of heritage, natural beauty, and maritime allure. Later this afternoon we head back into the moors and dales, making a stop at the famous village of Goathland, or ‘Aidensfield’ in TV’s Heartbeat. We return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s evening meal and New Year’s Eve Party with a glass of champagne at midnight.

Day 3. (New Year’s Day) After breakfast we will enjoy a visit to Scarborough. Discover the charm and beauty of Scarborough, a captivating seaside town nestled on the stunning coastline of North Yorkshire with two stunning beaches, North Bay and South Bay. Later this afternoon we will return to our hotel via Thornton-le-dale, a quaint English village and undoubtedly one of the most picturesque in Yorkshire. We return to the hotel and prepare for tonight’s evening meal and seasonal fun and games in the bar.

Day 4. We check out and depart this morning after breakfast and visit the picturesque market town of Helmsley. From its medieval castle ruins to its bustling market square and array of independent shops, Helmsley offers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern amenities. We depart from Helmsley later this afternoon for our return journey home.

Situated on a hillside offering spectacular views over the lovely village of Rosedale Abbey and the valley beyond, this 16^th Century Inn offers a warm welcome. With a roaring log fire in the bar, comfortable bedrooms with modern facilities, unpretentious home-made and locally sourced food in the restaurant, we aim to offer a personal and friendly service to all. All bedrooms are en-suite and have tea/coffee making facilities, TV and hair dryer. All bedrooms are located on the first floor, up one flight of stairs with most offering fabulous views over the National Park.

Please note: There is no lift in the hotel, so there is a flight of stairs to access bedrooms. There are also steps up from the car park to access the main entrance. This accommodation therefore is not recommended for the mobility impaired.
