Day 1. Saturday: We depart for the port of Holyhead and our crossing to Dublin. On arrival we continue to the outskirts of Dublin for one night, dinner, bed, and breakfast.
Day 2. Sunday: Following breakfast, we depart our hotel and enjoy free time in Dublin. The fair city of Dublin is a beautiful medieval city, with a long and colourful past – its museums, art galleries and wonderful architecture, all chronicling its fascinating history. Immerse yourself in the history, heritage and culture of Dublin, a cosmopolitan capital city that still has an individual charm. The vibrant city life brims with traditional Irish culture, all set against the backdrop of its stunning coastline. Those in search of the perfect pint need look no further than one of Dublin’s thousand pubs. Our journey will continue into Northern Ireland and Enniskillen in Co. Fermanagh for four night’s dinner, bed, and breakfast at the Manor House Country Hotel.
Day 3. Monday: Today we enjoy entrance to Blessingbourne Country Estate. The award winning Blessingbourne Estate is an historic 550-acre Country Estate, nestled in the heart of woodlands, lakes, and wildlife on the edge of the Clogher Valley. We will enjoy a guided tour of the estate followed by tea and homemade cakes. The Manor House was built in 1871-74 and designed by Pepy’s Cockerall a close friend of William Morris. Its wonderful interior has many delightful Arts and Crafts features. Our visit will also include the costume and carriage museum and Victorian gardens, with their majestic setting overlooking the beautiful Lough Fadda. Later this afternoon we continue to Belleek Pottery. Promoting over 160 years of craftsmanship, Belleek Pottery is located in the quaint village of Belleek in Co. Fermanagh on the banks of the River Erne. The guided tour allows visitors full access behind the scenes of the manufacturing and creative process that goes into every piece of Belleek fine china, produced on site since 1857.
Day 4. Tuesday: Today we enjoy entrance to Ulster American Folk Park. The Ulster American Folk Park tells the story of Ulster people’s emigration to North America in the 18th and 19th centuries. You will be able to learn more about lives left behind, the hardships endured on the journey and the pioneering spirit of building new lives in a new land. This evening we enjoy a 2-hour sunset dinner cruise on-board the Lady of the Lake with a set 3-course evening meal included.
Day 5. Wednesday: Today we enjoy a leisurely day with free time to explore Enniskillen. Built on an Island, Enniskillen is Ireland’s only Island Town, and is over 400 years old. There are various historical building throughout the town, however the most significant of those is Enniskillen Castle, built almost 600 years ago by Gaelic Maguires.
Day 6. Thursday: We depart the hotel after breakfast, as we travel to Dublin port. On arrival in Holyhead, we continue our journey home. Late return.
Passports: British or Irish citizens travelling on the Irish Sea routes do not need a passport to travel to Britain or Ireland but must have Photographic Identification. Useful means of identification when travelling on this route are passport, driving licence and a bus pass.
Travel Insurance: All passengers must be in possession of fully comprehensive travel insurance.
