Itinerary

Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Birmingham. As Britain’s second largest city, Birmingham is an industrial hub with a vibrant, creative heart. There’s a whole host of quirky adventures waiting to be discovered in the city. Find a funky scene at the Custard Factory, home to up-and-coming designers, artists and independent cafes and bars. Or satisfy your fashion fever at the Bullring, the Mailbox, and the achingly cool Grand Central complex. There also is a huge variety of places to eat in the city. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to West Bromwich and the Mercure Birmingham West. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.

Day 2. Sunday Following a leisurely breakfast, we travel to the Black Country Living Museum. Experience sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of the Black Country as you explore shops, houses and industrial workshops rebuilt in the canal side village. From the Industrial Revolution to post-war prosperity, discover the history of a small region that made a big impact on the people, culture, and industry of the world as you say “ow am ya” to the people that made this place home, from metalworkers and miners to nurses and schoolteachers – and even a pub landlord or two. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.

Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
