Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to the ancient market town of Evesham. Evesham is a picturesque, riverside historic market town situated in the centre of the famous horticultural Vale of Evesham – the fruit and vegetable basket of England. From the tranquil banks of the river Avon to the undulating hills and peaceful wooded slopes of the Cotswolds, the Vale offers some of the prettiest countryside in the United Kingdom. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to the outskirts of Cheltenham and the Leonardo Hotel Cheltenham. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Saturday Following breakfast, we enjoy a guided tour of The Cotswolds. The Cotswolds are home to some of the most unspoilt, historic, and famous towns and villages in England with honey-coloured stone buildings providing a quintessential English charm. We return to Cheltenham later this afternoon and enjoy free time to explore the Regency town. A wonderful mix of the traditional and the new, Cheltenham nestles against The Cotswolds as the perfect place to unwind. With an abundance of independent and much-loved High-Street shops, and a wide range of attractions, parks, and museums.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via an included journey on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. The railway offers a unique opportunity to sample train travel from 50 years ago hauled by steam, diesel, or diesel railcar. The journey from Cheltenham Racecourse to Broadway travels through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cotswolds. The line commands wonderful views of the nearby sleepy hamlets and villages, with outstanding outlooks across to the Malvern Hills and beyond. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
