Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Lichfield. From its medieval cathedral and the Georgian museums to the popular Saturday Market, Lichfield has much to enjoy. Lichfield Cathedral is a treasured landmark in the heart of the county and is the only medieval three spired Cathedral in the UK. Its historic streets are lined with tempting shops, from high street chains to independent boutiques and the Saturday Market offers a wide choice of value for money products. It also has a diverse and delicious range of award-winning restaurants, pubs and coffee shops to enjoy. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Telford and the Mercure Telford. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via Shrewsbury with an included cruise. Enjoy beautiful views along the River Severn and photo opportunities on the outward journey before listening to an entertaining commentary from the knowledgeable captains on the return leg. There will also be free time to explore Shrewsbury, one of England’s finest medieval market towns. The town centre is packed with timber-framed black & white buildings and boasts over 660 listed buildings including Shrewsbury Castle and the world-famous Shrewsbury Abbey. The town offers a rare blend of historic charm and modern convenience. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
