Guernsey by Air

Guernsey is a small island with a big heart. Nestled in the middle of the Channel Islands and within sight of the French coast, Guernsey retains much of its traditional charm alongside the identity of a modern and vibrant British island. Loyal to the British Crown, Guernsey and the rest of the Channel Islands became British isles during the Norman conquest, creating a unique Anglo-French history that survives to this day. Today Guernsey is a self-governing 'Bailiwick', incorporating the smaller Channel Islands of Sark, Alderney and Herm. There are many quirky and charming features on the island, including unique Guernsey stamps and the island's own currency - legal tender only in the Channel Islands (don't worry though - British Sterling can also be used!). Guernsey is a naturally abundant source of fantastic food. Both locals and visitors are treated to many Guernsey specialities, including fresh Channel Island seafood, a wealth of locally-grown fruits & vegetables and Guernsey-brewed ales. The island features a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafes for all tastes, from hearty pub fayre and contemporary dining to beach cafes and award-winning bistros.

Itinerary

We depart and travel to Birmingham Airport. PLEASE NOTE: It could be an early departure dependent on the flight times. On arrival in Gernsey you will be welcomed by our island representative and transferred to the Le Pommier Hotel, Castel. A welcome meeting will be arranged, either today or tomorrow where you will learn a little more about the hotel, island and offered a range off OPTIONAL excursions. On completion of your holiday you will be transferred to Guernsey Airport for your return flight home. On arrival at the airport you will be welcomed by a Wilfreda Beehive representative and return home. Brochure Amendment: We will now depart from Birmingham Airport, and NOT East Midlands.

Le Pommier Hotel

A boutique hotel that blends traditional hospitality with stylish décor, The Le Pommier Hotel is nestled within five acres of gardens in the rural parish of Castel, with the Cobo Bay coastline nearby. All bedrooms are en-suite with television, tea/coffee making facilities, and Wi-Fi. Additional facilities include a Restaurant and Lobby Bar. Passports

There is no requirement to carry a passport between the United Kingdom (UK) and the Channel Islands. However due to increased security measures at British ports of entry, all British citizens must have a form of photographic ID which proves their nationality/citizenship for immigration purposes e.g. a valid passport or driving license. British citizens under the age of 16 do not need photo ID if travelling with their parent/guardian between UK and Jersey.
