Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Hatfield Park. Enjoy a house steeped in over 400 years of history, with gardens that offer 40 acres of tranquillity. Built by Robert Cecil, in the grounds where Queen Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood, Hatfield House is home to centuries of historical treasures collected by the Cecil family. Discover the picture perfect Gardens which date from the early 17th century when Robert Cecil employed John Tradescant the Elder to collect plants from all over Europe for his new home. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Reading and the Hilton Reading. This evening enjoy a three course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. Hampton Court and the surrounding parkland provide an idyllic setting for the world’s largest annual horticultural show. Explore innovative show gardens and take a picture of the stunning flower displays. Watch demonstrations by celebrity gardeners and chefs around the showgrounds. Plus, get tips on gardening and shop for garden supplies to create your own little oasis at home, at this famous garden show. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and discover unique plants and accessories. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
