Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Windsor for included entrance to Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest inhabited castle in the world. Established in the 11th century by William the Conqueror, it has been remodelled by successive Kings and Queens, including Edward III, Charles II, and George IV, and restored during Queen Elizabeth II’s reign after the fire in 1992. Home to St George's Chapel, today the Castle is used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions and has been the home of 40 monarchs. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Reading and the Holiday Inn Reading South. This evening, enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday We depart after breakfast and return to Windsor and enjoy time at leisure and an included cruise. The Royal Borough has a rich mix of history, culture, and heritage to enjoy. Situated just across the river from Windsor via a pedestrian footbridge, the famous town of Eton has a rich community and diverse heritage. The relaxing 40-minute cruise will travel upstream to Boveney Lock and returns with fantastic views of Windsor Castle, Eton College, Mill House, Windsor Racecourse and the Brocas Meadows.
