Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Shrewsbury for an included cruise on the beautiful River Severn. Founded by the Saxons and most extensively developed by Tudors, Shrewsbury lies within a giant loop of the River Severn and is famed for its castle, spires, abbey, parklands and half-timbered medieval houses. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Telford and the Mercure Telford. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Saturday Following breakfast, we make the short journey to the Ironbridge Gorge. Whether you are interested in fine china, decorative tiles or a Victorian recreated town, it’s all to be found in this stunning World Heritage Site. Entrance is included to Coalbrookdale Museum of Iron, Iron Bridge & Tollhouse, Jackfield Tile Museum, Coalport China Museum and Blists Hill Victorian Town with its street of shops. Some museums may be closed without any prior notice.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via the award-winning RAF Museum Midlands. The museum houses one of the largest aviation collections in country with 70 historic aircraft displayed in three wartime hangars. Explore thrilling displays of aircraft, iconic cars, models, tanks and even life-sized Russian dolls and marvel at the world’s oldest Spitfire and several other aircraft. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
