Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Worcester, a beautiful Cathedral and University City with a fascinating history. Standing majestically overlooking the River Severn, Worcester Cathedral is one of England's loveliest cathedrals. The Cathedral's attractions include King John's tomb, Prince Arthur's Chantry, medieval cloisters and magnificent Victorian stained glass. The city’s compact centre combines quintessential English charm with modern convenience and is home to an array of independent shops and boutiques. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Cardiff and the Mercure Cardiff North. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Saturday Today we include a visit to Cardiff, a modern, cosmopolitan city with a warm Welsh welcome. With a diverse blend of modern and ancient, Cardiff is bursting with an abundance of attractions to keep you entertained. From its magnificent castle dating back 2000 years, the modern millennium centre, fascinating museums and art galleries plus a world class shopping experience, there really is something for everyone in this wonderful capital city. Whilst the attractive Cardiff Bay waterfront area with its old wharfs, new piers and glass fronted cafés are home to the impressive Welsh Assembly buildings and departure point for bay cruises.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel the short distance to the award-winning Royal Mint for an included guided tour. During your visit you will unlock over 1,000 years of history in the brand new and enhanced experience and observe the skill and craftsmanship that go into making a coin. You will also be able to discover some of the most amazing stories in coinage history through a wide range of awe-inspiring exhibits and stunning displays. As well as an exclusive guided exhibition tour, you will strike your own coin and after your tour enjoy a relaxing cup of tea or coffee. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
