Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to Arley Hall Gardens. Amongst the finest in Europe the Gardens at Arley have been created over the last 270 years by successive generations of the same family. With two distinct areas which include 8 acres of formal gardens, and 7 acres of Woodland Garden there is something for everyone to enjoy. The hall is subject to seasonal opening and may be closed during our visit. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Knutsford and the Cottons Hotel & Spa. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Saturday Following breakfast, we enjoy a visit to Tatton Park, a stunning historic estate located in the heart of Cheshire. The estate spans over 1,000 acres of parkland, featuring an elegant mansion, 50 acres of beautiful gardens, a working farm, and much more. The 50 acres of landscaped gardens at Tatton Park are the product of almost 300 years of cultivation. Each successive owner from the Egerton family played a part in the evolution of the Gardens by seeking the advise of the leading landscape architects of the time. You will also have free time to explore the parkland, farm and magnificent mansion including the the opulent State Rooms.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and travel home via Capesthorne Hall & Gardens, the much-loved home of the Bromley-Davenports. Dating from 1719, the majestic Capesthorne Hall with its stunning Jacobean style architecture is set in 100 acres of picturesque parkland, with exquisite gardens and chain of three serene lakes. The gardens feature colourful herbaceous borders filled with a rich array of perennials. They are notable for the late summer fragrance of rosa gallica, rosa rugosa and old moss roses. You can also enjoy the rhododendron woods and walks leading to an arboretum. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
