Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Harrogate fot time at leisure. Later this afternoon we will make our way to Bolton Abbey Station and embark on a journey on the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. During the evening you’ll be given the opportunity to search the venue for clues and seek out the persons of interest involved with the crime in order to get to the bottom of this mystery. With puzzles to solve, evidence to uncover and suspects to interrogate, there’s several ways to crack the case in order to catch your killer, keeping your little grey cells busy as you sleuth your way to victory. A set 3-course evening meal is included onboard the train. We return to the hotel on completion of the evening.
Day 2. Sunday Following breakfast, we depart and travel to historic York. A place of extraordinary cultural wealth, this beautifully preserved medieval city is a must for history buffs. Step 2,000 years into the past as you wander the Gothic halls of York Minster Cathedral, delve into the city’s Viking past, or explore history of a different kind at the National Railway Museum. Trace the footsteps of William the Conqueror at Clifford’s Tower, or visit the independent boutiques nestled in the pretty 13th century timber buildings of The Shambles. The Shambles are one of York's most famous landmarks and one of the best-preserved medieval shopping streets in Europe. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
