Day 1. We depart and travel to Fakenham for the matinee performance of the Thursford Christmas Spectacular. The three-hour show is a pageant of spectacle and colour – the music a seamless transition from an up-beat dance routine to a choral rendition of a Christmas carol. It’s a fast-moving celebration of the festive season featuring an eclectic mix of both seasonal and year-round favourites. With a cast of 130 this is the biggest Christmas show of its kind in Europe! We depart Thursford on completion of the show for the journey to Norwich and the Holiday Inn. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal and then spend a relaxing evening in the hotel.
Day 2. We depart after breakfast and enjoy free time in Norwich. Norwich is the most complete medieval city in Britain with fascinating museums, two cathedrals, a Norman castle, cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and over 30 medieval churches within the city walls. Within the city's Cathedral Quarter, Norwich Cathedral is perhaps Norwich’s most famous landmark. With its soaring spire, (the second highest in Britain), it’s one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England. It’s not hard to see why Norwich ranks so highly for shopping with major high street names sitting alongside independent retailers. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
