Day 1. Friday We depart and travel to the Cathedral and University City of Worcester. Located in the heart of the West Midlands on the banks of the River Severn, the city’s compact centre combines quintessential English charm with modern convenience. The cathedral is one of England’s loveliest and dates to Norman times, whilst the independent shops and boutiques sit alongside some of the country’s best-loved retailers, offering a delightful blend of tradition and contemporary flair. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to the outskirts of Bristol and the Aztec Hotel & Spa. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Saturday Today we include free time to explore Bristol. Delve into maritime history at the legendary SS Great Britain steamship or discover awe-inspiring views on a tour of the historic Clifton Suspension Bridge. Designed by famous engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the iconic steamship SS Great Britain is at the heart of this multi award-winning visitor attraction. See historic works of art at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, or savour local ale and cosy up in one of its eclectic bars, pubs, or breweries. There's fantastic shopping on Gloucester Road, great global cuisine from Georgian Market Hall St Nick’s, and buzzing bars and cafes along the Harbourside. Experience the city’s vibrant cultural scene and explore hidden gems, from quirky boutiques to art galleries tucked away in atmospheric streets.
Day 3. Sunday We depart after breakfast and enjoy a supersonic visit to Aerospace Bristol. The museum tells the incredible story of Bristol’s amazing aviation achievements and gives you the chance to step aboard Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, the last of the supersonic jets ever to fly. Beginning in the earliest days of powered flight, it takes you on a fascinating journey through aviation history. It’s a journey through two World Wars, the drama and technological advances of the space race, the tension and competition of the Cold War, and onto the modern day, where you can discover the latest technologies of today’s aerospace industry. We will enjoy a guided tour which will take you on a journey through Bristol’s remarkable aerospace history. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
