London’s Historic Palaces hold the secrets of the Kings and Queens of England. Explore these beautiful palaces full of unexpected treasures. Our itinerary will include entrance to the Royal Mews, home to royal carriages, the Buckingham Palace, State Rooms and Hampton Court Palace, a baroque palace and home of Henry VIII.

Itinerary

Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Hatfield Park. Enjoy a house steeped in over 400 years of history, with gardens that offer 40 acres of tranquillity. Built by Robert Cecil, in the grounds where Queen Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood, Hatfield House is home to centuries of historical treasures. Discover the picture perfect Gardens which date from the early 17th century when Robert Cecil employed John Tradescant the Elder to collect plants from all over Europe for his new home. We depart later this afternoon for the short journey to Shepperton and the Holiday Inn London Shepperton. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.

Day 2. Sunday Today we enjoy entrance to Hampton Court Palace, an awe-inspiring and flamboyant showcase of kingship. It’s vast, endless vistas, courtyards, gardens, and parkland, along with its magnificent State Apartments rival the great palaces of Europe; all designed to impress those that visit. Discover atmospheric corridors, where Tudor ghosts are still said to wander, admire Henry's Great Hall and Tudor kitchens, and discover the spectacular baroque palace built for William III and Mary II. Walk in the footsteps of England’s most famous King and his six wives and get lost in The Maze, one of the oldest surviving hedge mazes in the country.

Day 3. Monday We depart after breakfast and include entrance to the Royal Mews and Buckingham Palace, State Rooms. The Royal Mews, one of the finest working stables in existence, is responsible for all road travel arrangements for His Majesty The King and members of the Royal Family. Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of His Majesty The King. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. The State Rooms at the heart of Buckingham Palace provide the setting for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining, where The King welcomes guests from all walks of life. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.

Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
