Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to Harrogate for time at leisure. Born through a boom in Spa tourism during the Victorian 1800s Harrogate quickly developed a reputation for luxurious getaways for body and soul. The high society of Victorian Britain flocked to Harrogate to enjoy the air, the space and the therapeutic spa treatments as well as taking the famous Harrogate waters. Later this afternoon we make the short drive to Yorkshire’s ‘hidden’ village. The Emmerdale Village tour offers an exclusive behind the scenes access to the small village with big drama. You will join an expert guide for an exciting 90-minute tour of the outdoor working production set. Walk down memory lane in your favourite character’ footsteps and feel like part of the action as you visit iconic Emmerdale Locations. You will visit the external sets of iconic places such as The Woolpack, David’s Shop, Dingles Automative and Café Mainstreet. Please note: This is an external tour only, there will be no internal sets. Later this afternoon, we check into the Crown Hotel, situated opposite the beautiful Valley Gardens and overlooking Montpellier Gardens within the historic heart of Harrogate. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday Following breakfast, we depart and continue to Harewood House, a stunning 18th century home set in 140 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped grounds. There will be free time to explore the house and grounds before enjoying a quintessential English afternoon tea. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
