Day 1. Sunday We depart and travel to Norwich. Norwich is the most complete medieval city in Britain with fascinating museums, two cathedrals, a Norman castle, cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and over 30 medieval churches within the city walls. Within the city's Cathedral Quarter, Norwich Cathedral is perhaps Norwich’s most famous landmark. With its soaring spire, (the second highest in Britain), it’s one of the most beautiful cathedrals in England. It’s not hard to see why Norwich ranks so highly for shopping with major high street names sitting alongside independent retailers. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to the outskirts of Norwich and the Holiday Inn Norwich. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Monday We depart after breakfast and enjoy a visit to Thursford for a behind the scenes tour of one of the UK’s leading Christmas shows and undercover the secrets behind its success. The Thursford Christmas Spectacular has been entertaining theatre lovers for over 45 years with its seasonal show becoming an annual fixture for many during November and December. The exclusive backstage tour, offers the chance to uncover what goes on behind the scenes, including a look inside the performers dressing rooms and costume store, which houses over 2000 costumes. The tour is followed by an afternoon tea. Tickets also include entry to the museum, which houses the world’s largest collection of steam engines, organs, fairground carousels and tractors. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
