Day 1. Saturday We depart and travel to the historic city of Chester, a classic, contemporary city, bursting with must see treasures. It has the most complete city walls, the oldest racecourse and the largest Roman Amphitheatre in Britain, plus a 1000-year-old Cathedral with Europe's finest example of medieval carvings - and of course the one and only 700-year-old Rows galleries where shopping is a double delight. The Christmas Market will take place in the square around the Town Hall with around 70 traders selling locally made produce, with handmade crafts, jewellery, accessories and stocking fillers. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Mold, situated across the border and the Beaufort Park Hotel. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Sunday Following breakfast, we travel home via Tatton Park, one of the most complete historical estates in the country. With acres of Parkland and Gardens to explore, an impressive 18th century Mansion, historic working Farm, and a range of speciality shops, you won’t be stuck for things to do. With a different theme every year, you will be able to experience the magic of Christmas at Tatton Park as the staterooms within Tatton Park's historic mansion are all adorned in beautiful festive decorations. Whatever the theme you will be able to enjoy the grandeur of Tatton Park's historic mansion. We will also enjoy a 2-course traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. A great way to end the weekend. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
