Day 1. Monday We depart and enjoy a scenic drive through The Cotswolds. The Cotswolds covers a huge area – almost 800 square miles – and runs through five counties. One of the delights of visiting the Cotswolds is exploring the different areas, each with its own identity, yet all with those defining Cotswold features: golden stone and rolling hills. We depart later this afternoon for the journey to Swindon and the Leonardo Hotel Swindon. This evening enjoy a three-course evening meal.
Day 2. Tuesday Today we include a visit to Salisbury, a Cathedral city of ageless beauty and captivating history, which has been welcoming travellers since 1227. There will be free time to explore Salisbury, before making our way to Salisbury Cathedral to enjoy music performed by the Cathedral Choir who will be singing your favourite carols, along with Christmas readings. Seasonal refreshments will be served in the cathedral after the concert. Your ticket will allow entry to The Cathedral and Chapter House (Magna Carta) prior to the concert on the day.
Day 3. Wednesday Following breakfast, we travel home via Oxford, the City of Dreaming Spires. Steeped in a rich and fascinating history, Oxford is famous for its prestigious university and is home to 38 colleges where many notable scholars have emerged. Its charming scenery has been the inspiration for many. Visit the hallowed halls of the university and follow in the footsteps of Prime Ministers, poets and the one and only Harry Potter. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
Excursion days are subject to change and will be confirmed with your final travel documents.
