Day 1. Sunday We depart and travel to London. On arrival at the DoubleTree by Hilton London Greenwich the remainder of the day will be free for you to explore. Please Note: Bedrooms may not be available to check into until approximately 16:00. With a scenic riverside setting, the Royal Borough is home to the awe-inspiring Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, famous for the Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, Queen’s House, the Old Royal Naval College and the University of Greenwich. Greenwich Market was established by Royal Charter in 1700 and originally sold fruit, vegetables and livestock. Nowadays it’s the centre of Greenwich shopping life, open daily with shops and stalls all undercover. Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2. Monday We enjoy a leisurely breakfast, with free time to explore Greenwich. Later this afternoon we will include entrance to the Old Royal Naval College and enjoy a Christmas concert in the beautiful Chapel of St Peter & St Paul, regarded as one of the finest eighteenth-century interiors. Following a brief introduction that sets the scene to this breathtaking chapel, the award-winning Trinity Laban Choir will perform a concert with a chance for you to join in some of your festive favourites. Included in your visit, is entry to the Painted Hall, known as the ‘Sistine Chapel of the UK' with its magnificent painted ceiling and walls of over 40,000 square feet depicting 200 figures including kings, queens and mythological creatures. We depart later this afternoon to make our journey home.
