Day 1. Thursday: We depart and travel to either Hull or Newcastle for the overnight ferry crossing to Holland with dinner and breakfast included on-board. All standard inside cabins will be bunk-beds. Cabin upgrades with low-beds available on request.
Day 2. Friday: On arrival, our adventure will continue, as we travel to our overnight hotel for one night, dinner, bed & breakfast (minimum 3-star standard).
Day 3. Saturday: This morning, we continue our journey into Austria for four night’s bed & breakfast at the Plaza Premium Hotel. Buffet dinner included at the hotel.
Day 4. Sunday: Today we enjoy a guided tour of Vienna. The tour will end at City Hall, where you can visit the famous Christmas Market. Stalls adorned with twinkling lights offer a variety of festive treats and handcrafted gifts, creating a magical atmosphere. Later this afternoon, we will visit the ‘Versailles’ of Vienna – Schönbrunn – and the elegant Christmas Market in front of the Castle. The market's charming setting, with its beautiful lights and seasonal delicacies, adds to the allure of this historic landmark. Take some time to explore the market and reflect on the rich history of the palace before we return to the hotel. Buffet dinner included at the hotel.
Day 5. Monday: Enjoy a free day to explore. The Imperial City of Vienna is one of Europe’s greatest cities and it has much to charm the visitor. As the home of the former Habsburg monarchy and the present-day capital of Austria, Vienna is renowned for its imperial palaces, stunning architecture, and vibrant cultural scene. You can visit the iconic St. Stephen's Cathedral, wander through the magnificent Hofburg Palace, or enjoy the artistic treasures at the Kunsthistorisches Museum. The city's coffee houses are perfect for relaxing, where you can savor a cup of famous Viennese coffee and indulge in a slice of rich Sachertorte. Whether you explore the elegant Ringstrasse or the charming narrow streets, Vienna offers endless opportunities to discover its history and beauty. Hotel on a bed & breakfast basis.
Day 6. Tuesday: Today we enjoy a guided tour of Vienna Woods, a lush and scenic area offering stunning views and designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. We also include entrance to Heiligenkreuz Abbey, one of the oldest and most impressive Cistercian monasteries in Europe, where you can explore its fascinating history and architecture. Afterward, we will enjoy a traditional Heurigen experience, where you can taste delicious regional dishes and fine wine. As the evening unfolds, live music adds to the festive ambiance, creating a memorable and authentic Austrian experience before we return to the hotel for a restful night.
Day 7. Wednesday: We depart Vienna and begin our return journey home travelling through Austria and into Germany and our overnight hotel for one night dinner, bed & breakfast (minimum 3-star standard).
Day 8. Thursday: Enjoy a relaxing breakfast this morning, before our return home continues. Later this afternoon we make our way to the ferry port for the return overnight crossing with dinner and breakfast included on-board. All standard inside cabins will be bunk-beds. Cabin upgrades with low-beds available on request.
Day 9. Friday: We depart the ferry after breakfast and begin our return journey home.
Passports: It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport and any required visa(s) for your chosen holiday. Some countries require a minimum of 6 months’ validity on a passport from your return date.
