Day 1. Monday: We depart and travel to either Hull or Newcastle for the overnight ferry crossing to Holland with dinner and breakfast included on-board. All standard inside cabins will be bunk-beds. Cabin upgrades with low-beds available on request.
Day 2. Tuesday: On arrival, our adventure will continue, as we travel to our overnight hotel for one night, dinner, bed & breakfast (minimum 3-star standard).
Day 3. Wednesday: This morning, we continue our journey into The Black Forest, Germany for five night’s dinner, bed & breakfast at the Waldeck Spa Resort.
Day 4. Thursday: Today we enjoy a visit to Rhine Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in Europe, with an included cruise that offers an up-close view of the roaring waters and breathtaking scenery. The boat ride takes us to the rock in the middle of the falls, providing a unique perspective of this natural wonder. Afterward, we make our way to the medieval town of Schaffhausen, known for its charming old town, cobbled streets, and the impressive Munot Fortress. You’ll have time to explore the picturesque town, with its well-preserved historic buildings and lovely cafes, before we continue our journey through this stunning region of Switzerland and return to our hotel.
Day 5. Friday: Today we visit Lake Constance, one of Central Europe's largest and most beautiful lakes, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and charming towns. We include a guided tour of Mainau Island, a lush, flower-filled paradise known for its meticulously manicured gardens, botanical diversity, and the impressive Baroque-style palace. After exploring the island’s enchanting landscapes, we enjoy free time in the town of Constance, where you can stroll through its historic old town, visit the famous Constance Cathedral, or relax by the lakeside promenade. The town’s medieval charm and vibrant atmosphere make it the perfect place to unwind before continuing our journey.
Day 6. Saturday: Today is spent relaxing in our fabulous spa resort of Bad Dürrheim, where you can unwind and rejuvenate in the soothing thermal waters. Take advantage of the resort's exceptional wellness facilities, including saunas, steam rooms, and tranquil relaxation areas, designed to help you fully relax and recharge. You can also enjoy a leisurely stroll through the resort’s beautiful gardens or indulge in a range of luxurious spa treatments. Whether you choose to pamper yourself with a massage or simply enjoy the serene atmosphere, today is all about relaxation and well-being in this peaceful retreat.
Day 7. Sunday: Today we visit Lake Titisee, a picturesque glacial lake nestled in the Black Forest, where we enjoy a relaxing cruise across its calm waters, surrounded by lush forests and scenic views. After the cruise, we continue to Triberg, a charming town famous for its stunning waterfalls and traditional cuckoo clocks. Here, you’ll have some free time to explore at your leisure. You can visit the Triberg Waterfalls, one of the highest in Germany, or wander through the quaint streets filled with local shops offering Black Forest specialties. With its beautiful natural surroundings and rich cultural heritage, Triberg offers the perfect opportunity for a peaceful and memorable day out.
Day 8. Monday: We depart Bad Durrheim and begin our return journey home travelling through Germany and to our overnight hotel for one night dinner, bed & breakfast (minimum 3-star standard).
Day 9. Tuesday: Enjoy a relaxing breakfast this morning, before our return home continues. Later this afternoon we make our way to the ferry port for the return overnight crossing with dinner and breakfast included on-board. All standard inside cabins will be bunk-beds. Cabin upgrades with low-beds available on request.
Day 10. Wednesday: We depart the ferry after breakfast and begin our return journey home.
Passports: It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport and any required visa(s) for your chosen holiday. Some countries require a minimum of 6 months’ validity on a passport from your return date.
