Day 1. Monday: We depart and travel to either Hull or Newcastle for the overnight ferry crossing to Holland with dinner and breakfast included on-board. All standard inside cabins will be bunk-beds. Cabin upgrades with low-beds available on request.
Day 2. Tuesday: On arrival in Holland, we continue to Keukenhof Gardens, the most beautiful spring gardens in the world. Spanning an impressive 32 hectares, it is home to themed gardens, flower displays, and unique art installations. Wander through stunning pathways and immerse yourself in the breathtaking floral beauty that surrounds you. Capture the perfect photos of the vibrant blooms and enjoy the scents of spring. Later this afternoon, we make our way to The Hague and the Leonardo Royal Hotel Den Haag Promenade for two nights, bed and breakfast. Enjoy a relaxing evening at the hotel or take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront.
Day 3. Wednesday: Today we include an excursion to the picturesque Zaanse Schans, a unique part of the Netherlands, full of monumental houses, mills, barns, and workshops where people practice traditional crafts. This charming village offers a glimpse into Dutch history and heritage. We include a Zaanse Schans Card, which gives you entrance to several museums, allowing you to explore the fascinating local culture and craftsmanship. We also include a short cruise, which will pass the old mills and merchant houses, providing a view of this area from the water. Don’t forget your camera to capture the beauty of this traditional Dutch landscape!
Day 4. Thursday: We enjoy a free day to explore The Hague, the 3rd largest city in the Netherlands. Located along the coast, the city is popular with beachgoers, but it has a lot more to offer. It is home to the Dutch Government and Royal Family, but it also has a whole host of museums to discover including the Mauritshuis, home to world famous paintings and priceless art collections. Later this afternoon we make our way to the ferry port for the return overnight crossing to either Hull or Newcastle with dinner and breakfast included on-board. All standard inside cabins will be bunk-beds. Cabin upgrades with low-beds available on request.
Day 5. Friday: We depart the ferry after breakfast and begin our return journey home.
Passports: It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport and any required visa(s) for your chosen holiday. Some countries require a minimum of 6 months’ validity on a passport from your return date.
